What You Need:
Before you can upgrade your COA Sponsored account, you must have:
📱 A smartphone with the Yoursafe App
📧 An email address
🪪 A valid ID document (passport, driver’s licence, or W-document)
Steps to Upgrade from Limited → Basic:
- Open the Yoursafe App on your phone
- Follow the steps on screen:
- Take a selfie (face picture)
- Do a liveness check (show you are a real person)
- Scan and upload your ID document
- Wait while Yoursafe checks your information
- If approved, your account will change to Basic
Steps to Upgrade from Card Only → Basic:
- Download and install the Yoursafe App on your phone
- Open the app and follow the same steps as Limited → Basic:
- Take a selfie
- Do the liveness check
- Upload your valid ID
- Once approved, your Card Only account will stop, and you will now have a Basic Account
Need Help?
If you cannot speak Dutch or English, a COA worker can help you:
🔑 If you already have the app (Limited account): Yoursafe Support will send a security code to your app. The COA worker will use this code to help.
💳 If you only have a Card Only account: the COA worker will use your card number and name to help you with support.
Important to Remember:
✔ You can only upgrade if you have a valid ID (passport, driver’s licence, or W-document)
✔ Some spending is not allowed (gambling or sending money to restricted countries)
✔ All accounts are checked for safety to stop fraud or crime
