For YOU account holders, Yoursafe may need to verify your registered address. This is done by checking official records and reviewing a recent utility bill that shows your name and address.
But what is considered a utility bill?
Accepted Utility Bills
Yoursafe only accepts the following types of utility bills:
- Water
- Gas and Electricity
- Landline Telephone
- Cable TV/Internet
Not Accepted
The following documents are NOT accepted as utility bills:
- Mobile phone bills
- Insurance bills
- Bills sent to a PO box, a c/o address or a business address
No utility bill? Bank statements and rental agreements are not utility bills, but we accept them instead of one. See What to Do If You Don't Have a Utility Bill.
What Your Utility Bill Should Include
- Your full name
- Your full residential address (must match your Yoursafe account, or the new address you asked us to change to)
- Date (issued within the last 3 months)
- The type of utility service (e.g., water, electricity)
Make sure the bill is clear, readable, and in PDF or image format. Upload it in your Yoursafe account at you.yoursafe.com. We can't accept documents by email. If your bill does not meet the above criteria, it may be rejected.
