For Sponsored accounts, If you move to a new city or region, or if your benefits are managed by a different office, your Sponsor may change.
Your Yoursafe ABC Account can usually stay the same — but there are a few things you need to do to make sure everything continues smoothly.
What happens when you move
When you move to a new location, your new Sponsor (for example, another Landkreis or municipality) becomes responsible for sending your benefit money.
Your Yoursafe card and account stay the same — you do not need a new card.
Your old Sponsor will stop sending money, and your new Sponsor will take over payments once your information is updated.
What you need to do
- Tell your new Sponsor or social office that you already have a Yoursafe card.
- Give them your existing account details (for example, your Alias or card number).
- Make sure your address is correct, so you continue to receive any important letters, such as PIN mailers or replacement cards.
Your new Sponsor will contact Yoursafe if they need to update any information on their side.
What stays the same
- Your Yoursafe card and account number stay the same.
- Your PIN and app access do not change.
- Your money remains safe and in your account.
You can continue using your card as normal during the change.
What might change
Your payment amount, payment schedule, or usage limits may change, depending on your new Sponsor’s local rules.
Every Sponsor can set their own policies for how and when benefit money is sent.
If you’re unsure, ask your new Sponsor office to explain the details for your area.
In short
If you move or your Sponsor changes:
- Your Yoursafe account and card stay the same.
- Tell your new Sponsor that you already have a Yoursafe card.
- Your money stays safe — only your Sponsor changes.
Keeping your address and contact information up to date helps make the move smooth and secure.
